Scum of the Earth

My last entry touched on my hatred (strong word I know) of those people that abuse and kill innocent children.  I honestly believe these people to be cowardly and have no right to be given any leniency once caught.  These children are defenceless and reliant on these people to protect and look after them.  For these people (I’m trying not to call them other names!) to turn around and abuse this trust is horrible.  If I owned a gun I’d be tempted to use it!

I heard another case of child neglect today.  I am currently in Las Vegas at the HP Technology Forum & Expo (thanks HP) and watched the highly US centric news last night.  I was stunned to hear about a 4 year old mentally ill (Jason Rimer) child being left in the family car for 17 hours, yes that’s right, 17 f*&ken hours.

The poor wee thing was found dead in the vehicle.  This happened here in Vegas and the parents who appear strongly religious and have 8 children (maybe they are catholic?).  This time of year the temperature gets to 40+ degrees Celsius.  The car would have been bloody hot.

It make me sad and sick inside to think what this poor beautiful boy would have gone through, something that his parents should be preventing and protecting home from.  Tonight I read an article on the local Vegas news website and was discussed even further when I read how the “father” was trying to defend himself.  

I won’t repeat them all here but two that really pissed me off were:

When asked if the child was missed at dinner time the “father” responded; “They usually go in and grab for themselves, and nobody ever mentioned Jason not coming to the table” – He was gone for 17 fucken hours you twit

He then went on to try and blame the oldest child, as apparently he “usually watches out for the younger ones”.  He says “he generally will tell us anything that’s wrong. I trusted that he saw all them. And it never crossed my mind we had one dying in the car”.

You are the father here you cock, you should know what your kids are doing and where they are.  You’re a f’wit, period!  And don’t try and blame one of your children for your mistakes.

Giving some further thought to taking a gun to these types of people, I am in the States, so getting a gun should be easy…
